Sicily is widely regarded as the "land of grapes and olives", continuously referred to as the most remote antiquity and the cradle of Mediterranean civilization. According to the legend, the tears of a thirsted Dionysus watered and started the growth of the first Sicilian vine. And this is the rise of the nectar given by the ancient numen to relieve people from their fatigue and to delight the sense of gods.

Passito, moscato, malvasia, but also Nero d'Avola, Cerasuolo di Vittoria, Nerello Mascalese, Insolia... Sicilian wine production is increasingly taking a very important role worldwide: recently the vine area in Trapani province has surpassed that of Bordeaux, traditionally considered as the world capital of wine.
